"Behind the Sun" is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 1987 album, The Uplift Mofo Party Plan. It is the sixth song on the album and it was released as a single though not until 1992. Behind The Sun released to promote the What Hits!? album. A video was also made in 1992 combining animation and footage from the "Higher Ground" video. Guitarist Hillel Slovak plays the sitar in this song.Here are the lyrics of this masterpiece:

Easter a time of alleged joy and happiness.Christ a well-acclaimed and worldwide known symbol of piece and religion is going through a series of tortures till his alleged resurrection.Does anyone these days spare a thought to you???All of them are so drugged in tradition and faith that they can hardly distinguish the shadows begging under their gigantic feet.All of them storm out in a rage to buy and consume the traditional lamp,a habit not only cruel but totally opposed to the whole meaning of love for every living creature(another hole on the flawless biblical script).And then after the days or even months of holding themselves to buy or drink anything "sinfull" after Christ's resurrection all of them indulge in every kind of satyric act.They are pones and players in their one game of hypocrisy.Where is the tradition now???Are the overwhelming joy of the celebrations suitable with the humble lifestyle of yore???
