Yesterday I got pissed off for as I was writing a new ,literally satisactory, post my internet provider failed me...Deleting all the progress I had made with my post...Nevermind,maybe this will be an attempt to write something better...
Yesterday I had started writing a post about "universability" or to put it better the overwelming globalization, borders as a term of national inheritence and uprooting as a "legitiment" crime.Having heard the rhcp's album "Mother's Milk" close to a hundred times it can strike as a surprise to the first-time-listener the density of meanings ,concerning the aforementioned values, the track "Johny, kick a hole in the sky" conveys. Antony Kiedis has extraordinarely managed to probe into a yet unsolved and tormenting issue:UPROOTING-the brutal manipulation of every human right deprived populations are equiped with. Mr. Kiedis triggered by his claims to be a direct decendant of the native americans (indians) expresses the lust for revenge, the anger, the loath and the modern passive way of thinking. No initiatives,no revolutionary mental ideas just the witnessing of the birth of a brave new american generation of coach potatoes.
"I am a part of two worlds,I'm a master of adaption and I've got to take action...I'm a ma
n...The animal man!!" .If those lyrics do not mirror the suffocated feelings of underprivilleged or uprooted civilizations then what does. For once more I will end up praising the band called the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" and say that fortunately there is still today "armed "music.Music that does not focus on commercialization and marketing.Music that has quality ideas.Music that caresses the problems of today and walks towards tommorow's vissisitudes.Music...Music...Music...
Finally, there is a point of worry in this infinite chain of events:if wars continue to happen, peoples' heatred will continue to rise and so wars will continue to happen. All I have to say is:
"The story of a woman on the morning of a war
remind me if you will exactly what ew're fighting for
Calling calling for something in the air
Calling calling I know you must be there
I don't want to be your little research monkey boy
The creature that I am is only going to destroy
Throw me to the wolves because there's order in the pack
Throw me to the sky because I know I'm coming back..."
Once again the "universability" of the peppers CAN and HAS given the answer.
As Flea has repeatedly said:"It's all about love and peace in the end".
To The Band!!!
